For the second-straight game, the Denver Nuggets overcame another huge deficit to fight back and win the game in a 111-98 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers to force a Game 7. The Nuggets were down by as many as 19 points early in the third quarter, but went on a 17-0 run, and outscored the Clippers 30-16 in the third quarter to claw back and regain the lead. In a must-win situation for Denver, Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray responded well to the challenge and put all the pressure on the Clippers to close out the game, which they were unable to do.
Jokic finished the game with 34 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists, while shooting a ridiculous 59.1 percent from the field, and going 4-of-6 from 3-point range. He hit back-to-back 3s with nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to increase Denver’s lead to seven points and L.A. was never able to recover.
This is the second consecutive game that the Clippers have failed to close out the series, and the second-straight game that L.A. has given up a sizable lead only to lose. The Clippers will have to figure out quickly what went wrong in this game, otherwise, they could be packing their bags on Tuesday after a Game 7 against the Nuggets.

Gary Harris corner 3 put the exclamation mark on this game and the lead is up to 16, we will have a Game 7, wow.
Jamal Murray put on the afterburners and was met with little resistance at the rim. Doc Rivers is going smaller so there’s no Zubac or Harrell for rim protection.
Unless the Clippers magically get it together in the closing minutes here, it looks like there’s going to be a Game 7 on Tuesday.
Gary Harris connects on a 3, it’s now a TEN POINT LEAD for Denver. This is absurd. The Clippers led by 19 points in the third Q, and look absolutely lost on both ends of the floor in this fourth quarter. What is going on?!
All the pressure is on the Clippers by the way. No one expected the Nuggets to win this game, even after coming back in Game 5 for the win. The Clippers are making far too many mental mistakes and it could cost them this game.
That is now three-straight 3s for the Denver, this time from MPJ, and the Nuggets are rolling. It’s a 5-point lead, and L.A. is struggling to find the answers to retake the lead.
Reggie Jackson coming in for the first time in this game — instead of Landry Shamet — Doc Rivers throwing anything at the wall to see if it sticks.
Montrezl Harrell checks out of the game -20 in 15 minutes. Ivica Zubac, who is +17 in 25, checks back in, presumably for the duration.
Jokic connects on a 3 and the Nuggets lead is up to 4, the Clippers still have plenty of time to finish this game strong, but they’re looking frazzled right now. This may come down to the wire.
Monte Morris with an and-1, that looks to be Patrick Beverley’s sixth foul, he’s done for the game. This game certainly has turned in the second half.
