Need some last minute start/sit advice? Fantasy points projections can help, and we’ve got them for the Week 1 SNF matchup between the Cowboys and Rams.
The NFL closes out the first Sunday of the season with some potential offensive fireworks. The Los Angeles Rams host the Dallas Cowboys in the first home game at SoFi Stadium.
The Cowboys return looking to get over the hump and into the playoffs this season. They did not get a long-term deal done with quarterback Dak Prescott, but he’s back looking to boost his long-term cost after a huge 2019 season. He welcomes rookie CeeDee Lamb to the fold, and there are targets to replace with Randall Cobb departed for Houston.
Meanwhile, the Rams stumbled last season after a breakout in 2018. Jared Goff put up big numbers, but the team struggled with consistency and finished 9-7 and third in the loaded NFC West. The Rams have moved on from Todd Gurley at running back, and drafted Cam Akers as a potential long-term replacement.
Matchups are going to be key, but it helps to see what the analytics are saying about potential performances. Looking at fantasy projections for season-long leagues (1/2 PPR setting), you can’t really go wrong with most of your big name pieces. But there could be some value to be found a little further down the depth chart.
This should be a fun one. I think the Rams win a close one, but either way, look for it to turn into a shootout. Here are Week 1 fantasy points projections to help you further improve your chances to get off to a strong start.
