This season of Disney’s The Mandalorian has seen the series « star » Baby Yoda (or « The Child » as fan favorite creature is officially known) get into a bit of nastiness which is entirely appropriate for one, well, kid, it’s also a little shocking and even horrible for the fans So far the most controversial moment of these moments has been the fact that Baby Yoda ate the eggs of the « Frog. Lady ”in Chapter 10 Since the start of this episode, people have weighed in on their take on the disturbing behavior and now CNN’s Jake Tapper has his say with what may seem like hot takes on not just Baby Yoda , but another iconic Star Wars moment

On Twitter, it all started when Tapper posted his thoughts on an article on the « Baby Yoda Egg Eating Scandal », noting that he « would love to live in a world where it even reaches the level of something worth even worth raising eyebrows »

I just saw an article about the « Baby Yoda Egg Eating Scandal » and have to say I would love to live in a world where it even reaches the level of something worth even a photo of. eyebrowTwittercom / fFPBAbhIZ3

As you can guess, this elicited a lot of reactions from netizens on Twitter, including one in which someone pointed out to Tapper that they belonged to an endangered species, which the main anchor was quick to correct

« It’s a common misconception but it’s not correct, » he wrote « These eggs are the last brood of my life cycle, » said the Frog Lady Nothing about his species I didn’t seem to notice their absence «

And Tapper didn’t stop to take subtle pictures of the frog’s parenthood either. He also criticized PETA’s conviction of Baby Yoda

All Twitter jokes aside, the question of Baby Yoda eating the frog’s eggs is one that has generated a lot of talk on social media, even prompting Lucasfilm’s creative art director Phil Szostak to add his own take on the matter, comparing the eggs to unfertilized chicken eggs that many people get at the grocery store, although he noted why some viewers might be a little uncomfortable. p>

« For the record, Chapter 10 of The Mandalorian makes it clear that the frog’s eggs are unfertilized, like the chicken eggs that many of us enjoy. But obviously chickens are not sentient beings and the egg-eating kid is intentionally disturbing, for a comedic effect, « Szostak said on Twitter » Horror fans know disturbing things make some of us laugh and some of us squirm, or both Your mileage may vary «

As for Tapper, however, he didn’t just stop with The Mandalorian for his « hot takes » on Star Wars He had his thoughts on « Han’s first shot » out of it all by stating that Han was the only shot and he shed no tears for Greedo

« Before this conversation gets more political, let me say that not only did Han shoot first, but Greedo didn’t shoot second because Han was THE ONLY ONE WHO SHOT, » Tapper wrote. « I didn’t shed tears for Greedo but that’s exactly what happened »
