Wales eased the pressure on head coach Wayne Pivac with an 18-0 Fall Nations Cup win over Georgia in Llanelli

Nineteen-year-old winger Louis Rees-Zammit, showing the finishing ability that earned him 10 tries for Gloucester in the England Premiership last season, and substitute Rhys Webb crossed in the two mid- time

Callum Sheedy threw in two penalties and a conversion as Wales claimed a well-deserved victory in difficult wet conditions Control over Pivac had intensified, with six successive defeats making it the worst race in Wales Wales since 2012

After serving as Six Nations Grand Slam champion and World Cup semi-finalist under Warren Gatland in 2019, the former Scarlets coach had only overseen wins over Italy and the Barbarians for 12 miserable months at the head

“I was very happy with the way the boys played in these conditions,” said Pivac “It was pretty tricky there I thought we played really well in the setpiece It was a not in the right direction and the beginners were all happy We would have liked to score more points but the opposition and these conditions made the task difficult It was not a perfect performance but we will see it again «

Georgia showed improvement over their 40-0 loss to England last time around, but have been surprisingly overtaken in the fray and have now only scored seven points in their last three tests

Pivac made a series of changes, with only flanker Justin Tipuric, who took over the captaincy, and full-back Liam Williams remaining on the deeply beaten side by Ireland in their Cup opener. Fall Nations in Dublin Flanker James Botham, grandson of great English cricketer Ian, scrum half Kieran Hardy and center Johnny Williams made their debut
