WarnerMedia stands by its investigation into Justice League’s new admissions after Ray Fisher alleged an « abusive, unprofessional » work environment

Back in July, the 33-year-old actor, who played superhero Cyborg in the Justice League in 2017, opened an investigation at WarnerMedia after he claimed director Joss Whedon was « rude, abusive, unprofessional and totally unacceptable » new recordings of the film In December, WarnerMedia said the « investigation into the Justice League film has been completed and remedial action has been taken »

(Whedon, 56, directed the film after Zack Snyder resigned due to a family tragedy, Snyder’s new, longer cut in the Justice League will meet HBO Max this year)

In a lengthy statement posted on Twitter Wednesday, Fisher said he was « severely » disagreeing with being cut out of the Flash film, although the choice was « not surprising, » he said he accused also « intervening » with DC Films President Walter Hamada trying to « undermine » the investigation in order to « protect » his friend and former co-president Geoff Johns « 

Fisher also alleges that his workplace complaints were initially not properly raised up the chain of command. He said he wanted to « use the little power I have to ensure that workplace behavior that occurs during the resumption of justice League (and their investigation) was shown to never recur «

« Nobody in any occupation should argue with their employer about their allegations of abuse, racism and discrimination being brought up to the proper chain of command, » he wrote, « and nobody in any leadership position should try to dissuade those who do Want to report allegations « 

In a statement from PEOPLE on Thursday, the chairman and CEO of WarnerMedia, Ann Sarnoff, defended Hamada

« I believe in Walter Hamada and that he did not obstruct or interfere with the investigation. In addition, I have full confidence in the investigation process and the results, » the statement reads. « Walter is a respected leader who supports his colleagues, colleagues and known to me as a man of great character and integrity As I said in Walter’s recent contract renewal announcement, I am excited to see where he takes DC Films and look forward to working with him and the rest of the team to create the DC Multiverse build up « 

The Flash will see Ezra Miller’s return as fast-paced superhero Barry Allen.The new film, directed by It filmmaker Andy Muschietti, is slated for release in the summer of 2022 and is also set to cost Ben Affleck as Batman, with Michael Keaton also having talks to repeat his role as Caped Crusader in the film

WarnerMedia said in a separate statement that a « full investigation » was conducted by an outside law firm, « led by a former federal judge who has assured WarnerMedia that there are no obstacles to the investigation »

« Last summer, Mr. Fisher was offered the opportunity to repeat his role as Cyborg on The Flash, considering that he was not involved in any film with Mr. Hamada, our production is now going on, « said the studio’s statement » Warner Bros remains in business with Geoff Johns, who continues to produce Stargirl, Batwoman, Doom Patrol, Superman, & Lois and Titans for the studio, among others « 

In an October interview with Forbes, Fisher claimed that « racing was just one of the problems with the reshoot process » There were massive explosions, threats, coercion, ridicule, unsafe working conditions, belittling, and gas lighting like you would not believe « he said at the time
