Pitso Mosimane enjoyed another victorious evening as Al Ahly swept ENNPI aside 3-0 in the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday.
The South African-born coach introduced six new faces from Sunday’s win over Al Mokawloon in Ali Lotfi, Arabi Badr Mokhtar, Aliou Dieng, Junior Ajayi, Walid Soliman and Marwan Mohsen.
Mohsen rewarded Mosimane’s vote of confidence in him after nabbing the opening goal three minutes from kick-off off a ball from centre-back Ayman Ashraf.
Mohsen completed his brace ten minutes before the half-hour mark after latching onto Ahmed Fathy’s supply for a deft finish over ENNPI goalkeeper Mahmoud Gad.
Just like Sunday’s win over Mokawloon, Mosimane made a first-half substitution five minutes to halftime as Ashraf made way for their previous match-winner Amr Al-Sulaya.
Despite their dominant spell and comfortable lead, Mosimane still pushed for more goals approaching the closing quarter of the second half with the introduction of Kahraba for defender Mokhtar.
Mosimane’s boys threw the final nail in the coffin in the last ten minutes courtesy of Nigerian attacker Ajayi to wrap up a convincing win.
Having already bagged a record 42nd Egyptian league title, a home tie against big-spending Pyramids on Sunday awaits Mosimane and his charges.
