Hamilton has been a coach since 1997, starting as Howard University quarterback coach and then offensive coordinator.He moved to the NFL ranks in 2003 and started as the New York Jets’ offensive quality control coach for a year before joining their quarterbacks in 2004 – Coach and wide receiver coach in 2005. He joined the San Francisco 49ers as quarterbacks coach in 2006 and held the same position for the Chicago Bears from 2007 to 2009. In 2010 he coached wide-angle receivers at Stanford before leaving Cardinal offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2011 to 2012. He returned to the NFL in 2013 as the Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator, and held the position until 2015. He joined the Cleveland Browns staff in 2016 as an assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach the University of Michigan, where he worked as deputy head coach and passing game coordinator until 2018 He started the year as the head coach and general manager of the DC Defenders in the XFL before joining the Chargers

McDaniel’s résumé is shorter and begins in 2005 as an intern with the Denver Broncos. He then became an offensive assistant for the Houston Texans from 2006 to 2008. After a two-year stay in the UFL with the Sacramento Mountain Lions as a running back coach, he switched to Washington Football Team, where he was offensive assistant from 2011 to 2012, and as coach of the club for wide angle receivers in 2013.He held the same position with the Cleveland Browns in 2014 and then was offensive assistant with the Atlanta Falcons from 2015 to 2016.Since 2017 he has been the 49ers run Game Coordinator

Canada began his coaching career from 1994 to 1996 as an assistant in Indiana. He then moved to Butler in 1997 as offensive coordinator and quarterback trainer.
