Geelong was shaken by the sudden death of legendary club volunteer Vic Fuller while training on Monday morning

Fuller, 79, collapsed on the field after suffering a stroke while training and could not be resuscitated.The training was stopped early and the players were then sent home

Brian Cook, CEO of Cats, said Monday night that it had been a rough day for the club, given Fuller’s status at Kardinia Park and the circumstances surrounding his death

Paying tribute to a popular character, Cook said the cats would pay tribute to Fuller in the coming weeks

“He’s been a solid stone to us for so many years”He played all kinds of roles for us, he took care of Little League once, he helped with the recruitment. He was the VFL manager for a long time, he was the porter for the AFL and the VFL It goes on and on. He became Loved by so many people for so long

Cook described Fuller as the perfect doorman as he knew everyone associated with the club and therefore could tell who to let in
