LG Electronics said Tuesday it won patent infringement lawsuit against TCL in Germany
According to LG, the Mannheim regional court ruled last week in favor of the South Korean company, after finding that TCL violated LG’s essential standard patent EP 2,627,146 B1 in Germany related to LTE technology
LG says it will take immediate action to prevent TCL from using patented technology in its unlicensed smartphones
The Chinese company can appeal the decision, however, and its request for annulment of the patent in question to the German Federal Patent Court is still pending.
