New Zealand scrum half Aaron Smith described his French counterpart Antoine Dupont on Wednesday as the world’s best rugby player

When asked by the Six Nations on Twitter, “Who is the best rugby player in the world right now?” replied the 32-year-old Smith on Dupont

“This guy is on another level! Nobody is around atm. He makes the difference for his club and his country. He helps me look at parts of my game to improve ”

Smith has made 97 international appearances for the All Blacks and helped them win one World Cup and six rugby championship titles

24-year-old Dupont was named the best Six Nations player of the last year At his 28th On Saturday he made four attempts for the international match in the opening game of this year’s tournament in France’s 50:10 win over Italy
