After almost two years, Bren Esports has decided to part with his Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) team for limited activities in Valve’s first-person shooter, at least in the Asian region
The leading organization of Bernard “Bren” Chong announced the sad news on Monday evening, November 1st March, on their verified Facebook page at
“Our CS: GO team has gone through ups and downs, but overall it was a rewarding journey. We would like to wish the team all the best on the new path it is taking,” it says
Bren came to the decision: “The industry went through a series of hurricanes in the past year” Captain Chris “ProMartir, Elmer” micr0 “Coloma, Deko” Papichulo “Evangelista, Johnty” JA “Arone and trainer Jise” Rbtx ” Jamir are all free agents now
Patrick “Derek” Lacson left the team just a few days ago and is now also a free agent
Former player Riley “witz” Go left the roster last month to bring a breath of fresh air to his esports career as he transitioned to Riot Games’ booming FPS title Valorant Witz is now with Thai Valorant team MITH
Bren came into the CSGO esports scene when he approached the established TNC Pro team led by Pro and Deko in July 2019
The notable successes of the black and yellow squad include winning the GeForce Cup Pacific 2019 and the publication of playoffs in the eXTREMESLAND CS: GO Asia 2019 and the Perfect World Asia League in autumn 2020
Bren wasn’t the only organization to leave their CSGO roster as other Asian organizations in Beyond Esports and TIGER also released their teams while Paper Rex moved to Valorant
