MANILA, Philippines – Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said yesterday he was ready to be vaccinated with a Food and Drug Administration-cleared COVID vaccine (FDA)
Moreno made the statement as part of the information campaign to convince the public to trust the government’s vaccination program
The city government stands ready to use any vaccine against COVID-19 that has been approved for Emergency Use (EUA) by the FDA, he said
“We will use any FDA approved vaccine. But people have the right to be choosy. They can wait for the vaccine they prefer,” Moreno said. “But for me, if there is an EEA, we will they use ”
The Manila City Government has an upfront payment for the purchase of around 800000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine done
“We are ready for COVID-19 vaccine rollout, from transportation to storage facilities to vaccination sites,” said Moreno
