Sally Nugent videolinked Robbie Savage at the BBC breakfast to talk about what Boris Johnson’s roadmap to get out of lockdown means for future sport, however, when the interview ended, Charlie Stayt couldn’t help but when asking Robbie what he’d done with his hair Robbie quickly brushed back as he made fun of the condition of the journalist’s locks

As she finished her interview with Robbie, Sally said to the guest, “We won’t be finished yet. My buddy Charlie has a question for you”

“One, are you going to just let your hair go? Is that the plan? And is it also a romper? “

Laughing, Robbie replied, “It’s a top and the hair, I can see you are trying to get your hair like my Charlie

At the beginning of the show, Charlie was shut down by Carol Kirkwood for disrupting their weather forecast

When the meteorologist tried to proceed with her report, Charlie was keen to hear her opinion on NASA’s rover Perseverance on Mars

“Let’s get the Mars thing up and we’re going to get the weather on Mars now,” Charlie said

Carol gave the presenter a confused look as she obviously hadn’t prepared to cover Mars

Charlie stepped in: “I’ll tell you what we know, Carol, is it windy because you were listening, right?

Carol tried to step in and move the conversation back to the UK report: “It’s certainly windy where we are today, Charlie”

But Charlie didn’t let up when he sighed, “You’re not going with the Mars thing, are you? You’re not going there at all”

Carol snapped back: “No, because I only have a minute and a half and I want to finish the UK forecast so I can continue!”
