All schools in England will open on Aug. Reopened to all students on March 23rd, as part of the Prime Minister’s roadmap announced today. Sports and after-school activities may also be restarted

And on the same day, outdoor recreation with another person is also allowed, which means that people can sit together in a park with a coffee, a drink or a picnic

Follow the live coverage on Sky News as the Prime Minister is expected to address the House of Commons at 3:30 p.m. and host a press conference on Downing Street at 7:00 p.m.

From 29 March larger groups can meet outdoors – even in private gardens – with a maximum of six people or two households

Tennis courts, golf courses, and other outdoor sports facilities will open on Nov. Reopened March, the first Monday of most schools’ Easter break

The easing of measures is the first phase of a four-part roadmap that is expected to include the reopening of non-essential retail and hospitality businesses in the coming months

However, restrictions are gradually being relaxed across England to avoid a return to the previous system of regional levels

Boris Johnson will announce his plan in the House of Commons this afternoon before chairing a press conference on Downing Street at 7 p.m. MPs will be voting on the regulations in the coming weeks

The Prime Minister is expected to stress that four tests must be passed to advance to each level:

3 Infection rates do not risk a surge in hospital admissions that would not put sustained pressure on the NHS

In a statement prior to the announcement, Mr Johnson said: “Our priority has always been to get back to school children who we know are vital to their education, mental and physical well-being, and we will also prioritize ways for people to safely reunite with loved ones

“Our decisions are made based on the latest data at every step, and we will be careful with this approach so that we don’t undo the progress made so far and the sacrifices each and every one of you has made to protect yourself and others “

The plans have already generated mixed reactions Scientists and health workers urged the government not to unlock too quickly

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) warned that there should be no incentives for people to mingle in groups, arguing that pressure on hospitals is “as bad now as it has been at any point in the last year”

“The UK government must not relax public news or encourage people to mingle in groups. We have seen how mixed messages can directly put increased pressure on the health and care system,” said Dame Donna Kinnair , Managing Director and General Secretary of RCN

Leading epidemiologist Professor John Edmunds also said any relaxation of the lockdown must be gradual to prevent an increase in hospital admissions and deaths

In the meantime, schools have responded to news that they are expected to be open to all children next month The teachers’ union NASUWT has again called for school staff to be prioritized for vaccines

Kit Yates, a math biologist at the University of Bath, told Sky News the likelihood of outdoor transmission is low So it is not a “terrible idea” to allow people to meet in person, but rather to send schools back all at once a “little more risk”

“There’s a study by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine that says we can’t keep the R-number below 1 if all schools return at the same time,” he said

There may be disappointment from companies hoping for clarity on when to reopen

Sacha Lord, nightly economic advisor for Greater Manchester, tweeted, “There is time for changes before tomorrow’s announcement, BUT if that’s true, there will be a March even more pressure on the Chancellor @ RishiSunak are you calling last orders for hospitality? You have to save the UK’s fifth largest sector “
