James Garner, Manchester United midfielder on loan at Nottingham Forest, says he is open to his future and not sure where he will be next season

After taking the first half of the season on loan at Watford, Garner temporarily moved to Forest during the January transfer window

Since moving to The City Ground, Garner has established himself as a permanent fixture in Forest midfield, scoring his first senior goal in a 1-1 draw with local rivals Derby County on Friday night

After that game, Garner spoke to Times journalist Henry Winter about his prospects after the end of this season: “I don’t know what’s going to happen next season, if I’ll stay with the first team (at Manchester United ), have another year in the championship or go abroad ”

Even so, Garner’s general ambition seems clear, as the 19-year-old added, “My dream is to play in the Premier League It’s everyone’s dream”

Garner says he is open to his future “I don’t know what will happen next season, whether I will stay with the first team (at #mufc), have another year in the championship or go abroad“My dream is to play in the Premier League. It’s everyone’s dream”

Before his loan this season, Garner played a total of seven games in all competitions for his parents’ club

From today’s perspective, Garner still has around a year and a half’s contract with United to secure his future at Old Trafford until the end of next season

At this stage of his career there shouldn’t be any pressure on him to play at a certain level, just to gain as much experience as possible

The fact that Garner is apparently ready to play anywhere for the next season should help him get the opportunities he needs, and that attitude could serve him well later in his career

In fact, given the good start at The City Ground, you feel that those comments from the midfielder might have caused a little excitement among those who were won over by Forest
