CLEVELAND, Ohio – Seven Hills had 33 inches of snow over 12 hours, landmark in Cuyahoga County when a winter storm in northeast Ohio gained strength
According to the National Weather Service, 25 inches of the 33-inch total in Seven Hills fell in just three hours, between 5:50 and 8:50 pm North Royalton was just 3 inches behind, while Shaker Heights, Lyndhurst and Westlake 2 recorded 5 inches
In Summit County, Bath and Boston Heights were 2 inches each, while Akron-Canton Airport was 17 inches
In Geauga County, the heart of the snow belt, Thompson Township was two inches, but no other area in the county reported more than one inch of snow to the Meteorological Service
But the winter storm put it into gear late Tuesday night The Meteorological Service issued an updated winter storm warning for most of northeast Ohio on Monday night, which allowed an additional 4 to 8 inches of snow to come in the heaviest snow west of Interstate 71 and expected on the shores of Lake Erie
There is also the possibility of snow and ice mixing, which would make roads particularly treacherous. Winds get stronger and there can be gusts of up to 40 miles per hour
Check out the 12-hour snow totals for your city below. If the snow is falling quickly, the numbers will likely grow rapidly overnight:
