At least two people are in custody after a man was found dead at a property in Armadale this afternoon.
Canning Vale and Armadale police officers are at the scene managing traffic and Homicide Squad detectives are investigating.
Residents of Lowanna Way in Armadale told The West Australian the house involved was a men’s refuge property.
According to 7News, paramedics were reportedly first called to the home, who then called for urgent police assistance.
One person said he’d heard a “loud argument” coming from a house down the street from his place earlier today.
“Cops arrived just before 4pm and then before we knew it there were half a dozen detectives standing in the middle of the street,” the resident, who did not want to be named, said.
Another claimed they had seen a man inside one of the two ambulances at the scene – parked in the affected property’s driveway.
Forensics have just entered the home, and a large section of the road has been blocked off by police tape.
Two people who reside in homes that have been blocked off by police have been asked to park their vehicles down the street before being escorted into their homes by officers.
According to 7News, tensions are high as a number of concerned family members are arriving at the scene seeking answers but police say it is still early in their investigation.
