RCB vs DC IPL 2020 Live Cricket Score Dubai: Stoinis half-century powers Delhi to 196/4

Hello and welcome to Sportstar’s Live coverage of Match 19 of IPL 2020 between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

Delhi Capitals rides on Marcus Stoinis’ unbeaten 26-ball 53 and healthy contributions from Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant to post 196/4. Credit to Stoinis for pulling Delhi out of the hole and taking them to a very good total. Back for the chase in a while.

Delhi 184/4 after 19 overs: Marcus Stoinis hits his second fifty of the season and Delhi would hope the all-rounder takes them over the 200-run mark.

Delhi 171/3 after 18 overs: Bangalore has leaked runs in the death and against Stoinis it needs to bowl tight.

Delhi 161/3 after 17 overs: Delhi is moving swiftly with Stoinis approaching his fifty and Pant finding rhythm with a straight six. Bangalore missed a run-out chance after dropping Stoinis and he is riding on his luck.

Delhi 143/3 after 16 overs: Marcus Stoinis is motoring nicely and along with Pant resurrects Delhi’s innings with a 50-run stand.

Delhi 134/3 after 15 overs: Marcus Stoinis is in for something special and Bangalore handed a life with the batsman on 31. How costly will that be? We will find out.

Delhi 117/3 after 14 overs: Marcus Stoinis has decided to take the attack to the opposition as he smacks Moeen Ali over the deep mid-wicket for a maximum and then pockets a boundary off the last ball of the over. Much needed impetus.

Delhi 102/3 after 13 overs: Bangalore has bounced back strongly and its spinners are doing the job. Bowling slow through the air, mixing the lengths well and denying any room to the batsmen.

Delhi 94/3 after 12 overs: Success for Moeen Ali straightaway as he picks the prized scalp of Shreyas Iyer but credit to Devdutt Padikkal for taking an excellent catch in deep mid-wicket. Pure presence of mind as Padikkal after taking the catch, crossed the rope but threw the ball and then comes in to complete the catch. These catches have now become a regulation in IPL. Marcus Stoinis joins Rishabh Pant.

Delhi 88/2 after 11 overs: Virat Kohli brings back Yuzvendra Chahal and the time is right as both Dhawan and Shaw are back in the hunt. Onus on Iyer and Pant to provide stability.

Delhi 85/2 after 10 overs: Isuru Udana strikes and he removes the well-set Shikhar Dhawan. The opener was looking in good touch but this time holed it out straight to Moeen Ali at long-on. The ball hit the bottom part of the willow and the bat turned completely upon impact, there by nullifying the timing. Crucial wicket.

Delhi 78/1 after 9 overs: Excellent over from Siraj as he gives just three. He is crancking up pace with the last delivery clicking 143.5kph.

Delhi 75/1 after 8 overs: Washington Sundar does his job as he gives just 20 from his quota of four overs. Delhi in repair mode.

Delhi 72/1 after 7 overs: Bangalore strike and it’s Mohammed Siraj with the breakthrough who bounces out Prithvi Shaw. Another start goes begging as Delhi loses its first wicket immediately after the PowerPlay. Skipper Shreyas Iyer joins Shikhar Dhawan.

Delhi 63/0 after 6 overs: End of PowerPlay and Delhi openers have maximised and pressed on the accelerator. Shaw has raced to 42 off 22 with Dhawan playing his shots. Bangalore in need of a breakthrough.

Delhi 53/0 after 5 overs: Four, Six and Four and Yuzvendra Chahal has been taken for 18 runs in his opening over. Shaw and Dhawan bring the 50-run stand in quick time. Excellent start.

Delhi 35/0 after 4 overs: Washington Sundar is bowling a beautiful line and is giving nothing to the batsmen. He is yet to concede a boundary and has already bowled two overs. His adjustments of length has been incredible. Gem in T20 standards.

Delhi 31/0 after 3 overs: There’s no stopping Prithvi Shaw as he plays an absolute gem of a shot against Navdeep Saini. Just bends back and smacks Saini high over extra cover for a maximum. He is looking in great touch.

Delhi 17/0 after 2 overs: Excellent start from Washington Sundar as he gives just three from his first over. Bowling much slower than his usual speed and that’s the key on this wicket. Top stuff.

Delhi 14/0 after 1 over: That’s the strength of Prithvi Shaw as the openers starts with a flurry of boundaries – hitting three of them in front of square, through mid-wicket and then through square leg to fetch 14 runs from the over.

Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan are out in the middle and it will be Isuru Udana with the new ball. We are set for Game 19th in Dubai. Here we go!

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Devdutt Padikkal, Aaron Finch, Virat Kohli (c), AB de Villiers (w), Moeen Ali, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Isuru Udana, Navdeep Saini, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal

Delhi Capitals: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer (c), Rishabh Pant (w), Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje

Virat Kohli: We’ll bowl first. Same pitch. With the dew in, you’re really not out of the game when batting second. Unfortunately, Zampa is out. Moeen Ali comes in. Mann misses out, Siraj comes in. I’m glad that I was make a contribution. I have been playing with that expectations for 7-8 years, nothing new. I take a lot of pride in going out there and playing. Devdutt someone who has come and taken the tournament by storm. We have won those crucial moments in the first four matches. Three wins early on will allow you to play positively.

Shreyas Iyer: New day, it’s a new occasion for us. Hopefully, we can continue with the momentum. Every individual is taking responsibility. Axar comes in place of Amit Mishra.

Pitch Report: Probably on the slower side and it will assist the slower bowlers… Faster bowlers will get belted if they go short and wide.. It was used last night and there isn’t too much of a difference apart from the part that it is slowing up, says Kevin Pietersen.

We are moments away from the toss and it is almost certain that Axar Patel might replace Axar Patel.

Huge blow for Delhi as ace spinner Amit Mishra has been ruled out for the remainder of IPL 2020

DC and RCB have faced each other 23 times in the IPL so far with Bengaluru leading the head-to-head at 14-8. Their fixture in the 2015 edition, scheduled to be played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, was abandoned due to rain.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Delhi Capitals (DC) face off in what promises to be an exciting encounter between two form teams at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Both sides have recorded three wins in four matches, making the right moves to be counted as early title contenders.
