World News – AU – Reports Adam Treloar said he was not wanted by Collingwood with the club to pay six figures to take him forward

Adam Treloar could still earn a large chunk of his salary from the Collingwood Magpies next season, whether he is still at the club or not

Reports confirm the Collingwood Pies could pay a fair chunk of Adam Treloar’s contract to advance the star for the 2021 season

Two weeks ago it was revealed that Treloar’s wife and netball star Kim Ravaillion would resume her career with the Queensland Firebirds in the Super Netball competition

With his wife and daughter set to move to Queensland, AFL 360 hosts Mark Robinson and Gerard Whateley believed there was little to no chance he would stay with the Magpies

« We need to know Adam and what a father he is It’s hard for us to imagine Adam living far from his partner – and his baby, » Whateley said

« Hard to imagine? It won’t happen, Gerard It won’t happen It’s a big story « , Robinson intervened

« Firstly, I never considered going anywhere and I never would. I’m a contract player at Collingwood Football Club and there’s a reason I moved to Victoria to play for Collingwood, ”Treloar said on Fox Footy’s AFL360.

« She made a huge sacrifice for us as a family to start our family in the middle of her main career We chose to have a child and she sacrificed her body for it and gave up so much time and so much love for the game

« The sacrifice for me is something extremely small for me with 10 months. Realistically, Kim has probably two to three years of really good netball in her and we want to continue with our family »

Despite his defiant stance, Fox Sports reporter Tom Morris reported that Treloar had been « incredibly frustrated » by conversations with the club since the Magpies were knocked out of the final

Treloar is under contract until the end of the 2025 season and has been linked with the Gold Coast Suns, but the Herald Sun reported that the Magpies are expected to sign part of the star’s $ 800,000 contract in 2021

The Suns would be willing to trade the No 5 pick for the star but only if the Magpies pay part of his contract

Fox Footy reported that the Magpies do not see Treloar as part of the club’s future and « would consider paying over $ 200,000 of his 2021 salary even though he was at another club »

Former Collingwood recruiter Matt Rendell has said the Magpies would like to trade Treloar so he is not far from his family

« I think maybe he went over to them and asked ‘Do you want me? « and they said » No, «  » Rendell said on Trade Radio

« If so, he (Treloar) has a decision to make now. I have no doubt they said the same thing last year and he refused

« He’s an obsessive compulsive type of guy who makes him a great footballer, but they would be worried that he is worried about not seeing his partner, or who knows what’s going to happen in the year next with COVID-19, whether we’re out of it or not

« It’s so hard to predict They would think it might affect her football to be separated from her partner and child They probably thought it wasn’t a bad idea to float this (business) again He said: « No I can make it work, I want to stay in Melbourne I love Melbourne »
